Ana C. Reyes was born in 1974 in Montevideo, Uruguay. As a child, she moved to Spain before immigrating to Louisville, Kentucky. When she arrived in the U.S., Ana Reyes faced the challenge of learning English, with the help of her first-grade teacher. Decades later, in 2020, Ana Reyes reunited with that teacher, gaining media attention.
Ana Reyes pursued higher education at Transylvania University, graduating summa cum laude in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science.
