Scholarships for International Undergraduates
1. For International Freshman Students who finished high school outside the USA:
- International students who apply directly to the university as undergraduates and will have a temporary visa in the USA may be eligible for International Academic Excellence Scholarships (AES-INTL). These scholarships are mainly based on academic performance, with minimum high school grades required (3.25 out of 4). The amount varies depending on funding availability, the student's country, and English proficiency scores.
- Scholarship amounts range from $25,068 to $5,000, covering approximately 91.8% to 18.5% of undergraduate tuition.
- Scholarships are usually awarded for the fall term and cannot be deferred or transferred. They can be renewed each year if academic and visa requirements are met. Recipients can receive the scholarship for up to four years towards their first bachelor's degree.
- The scholarships are applied towards non-resident and resident tuition fees. They can be combined with other scholarships but cannot exceed the full tuition fees.
- International students funded by their governments may not qualify for these scholarships.
