For one applicant who wants to move to Canada via study permit, you will definitely spend more money than someone on visit.

1) Admission Application fee = $100 — $150 per school

2) Tuition: $13k — $27k depending on the school

3) Biometric: $85

4) Living expenses: $12k

5) Study permit fee: $150

6) Flight ticket: Depends on season (usually above $1500)

7) WES Evaluation (depends on the school and your kind of certifications).

The costs may increase or decrease depending on the location, program type and your needs. By all means, put more effort into seeking scholarship opportunities.

Living expenses is $20,650CAD. POF is double of a year Tuition. That is up to 20k CAD. If you're planning of studying in Canada, budget 40 million naira. However you can get a study loan right from Nigeria from AfriCred, Passage, Mpower applications is being denied recently, do your due diligence.

Put into account of currency exchange.  I have a Nigerian friend who came to Canada on a student visa.  He studied law in Nigeria and continued in Canada.  He successfully graduated and now an  immigration lawyer. No scholarship but determined to succeed.  I applaud him. Well done

The problem is not the admission but POF. Rates are just too high and the embassy expects one to have the money for 3-6 months most times while the delay in visa process
