The Federal University of Technology, Akure ( FUTA) is one of Nigeria’s leading technological universities. Since its founding in 1981, FUTA has expanded greatly, providing programs in eight schools and more than fifty academic disciplines.
But the university primary aim is to promote technological advancement by offering a supportive atmosphere for learning, instruction, and research. The goal of FUTA is to become a premier technological university and a hub for teaching, research, and service in Nigeria.
Furthermore, FUTA is home to more than 15,000 active students, including having world-class research facilities, such as the FUTA Centre for Advanced Research and Development (CARD), housed at the university.
2024/2025 FUTA Admission Requirements
The requirements for candidates seeking admission to FUTA through the JAMB (UTME) are listed below:
1. A minimum of 5 credits from the Senior Secondary Certificate Exams (SSCE/GCE) O'Level Credits must be earned in a maximum of two sittings.
2. You must decide which JAMB subject combination is best for your course. (Make sure to check your school subject combination for the course).
3. Candidates must receive a score of at least 180 on the recently completed JAMB UTME exam to be admitted to the Federal University of Technology Akure.
4. FUTA should be your first choice of university.
5. You must write the FUTA POST UTME/screening to be qualified for admission available for the year.
6. Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
Direct Entry Requirements For FUTA Admission
To be considered for admission to the Federal University of Technology Akure through Direct Entry, candidates must meet the criteria listed below:
1. A minimum of 5 credits in the Ordinary Level Credits of the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) in a maximum of two sittings.
2. Candidates must have earned two “A” levels or IJMB passes in subjects related to their field of study.
3. Passes in related topics at JUPEB/A Level.
4. A degree (First Class/Second Class Upper) in a related course is required for your course of choice.
5. Candidates for direct entry can purchase the FUTA Direct Entry form from the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) or the FUTA portal.
6. The National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), and other advanced-level certificates require a minimum merit score.
If you meet all FUTA admission requirements for the course you want to study, starting from O-Level results, JAMB score, Post UTME examination, and others, you should be able to gain admission with ease.

But according to what you said here that any futa candidate can gain admission with a minimum of 180 mark here but in some other post and comment people are saying the minimum mark is 200 to gain admission into futa which one should will belief
